MOTIVATED SELLERS WHO
WANT HER SOLD BEFORE THE SEASON ENDS
The Hunter Passage 42 has always been a standout in the Hunter line
as she was designed with offshore passage making in mind and thus
offers the best of both worlds as she still retains the much admired
and enjoyed comfortable interior and living accommodations.
The construction of the Hunter Passage 42 uses composite construction
techniques. While other manufacturers seek for innovative style or
skill, Hunter goes for innovative building and spacious boats with
great sailing performance. Molded liners stiffen the hull reducing
costs while maintaining an acceptable level of integrity. The hull to
deck joint is glued and bolted from outside. The hull topsides are
balsa cored to reduce weight helping gain CE compliance for Offshore
Use. Along with the balsa cored deck and high cockpit, the sugar scoop
helps to create a comfortable boat to use. The light air performance
is another key to the success of the Hunter Passage 42.
This British Part One registered vessel has never chartered, still
has low engine hours for her age and is owned by a knowledgeable
sailing couple who have enjoyed cruising in the BVI at the same time
as making a point of getting her in good shape. In 2014 the engine was
removed, reconditioned with new injectors, a new shaft coupler fitted
and replacement cutlass bearing. The engine compartment was stripped
and relined before the engine was refitted. Her dockside air con is in
the aft cabin (ducting for salon air con in place for easy upgrade).
She has been competitively priced and is currently stored on the hard
at Nanny Cay. If you are looking for a great combination of comfort
and performance, all at an affordable price, she is well worth viewing.
