June 10, 2021: Effective June 15, 2021, fully vaccinated persons travelling from overseas will only be required to provide an RT-PCR test or an approved rapid antigen test within five days of arrival and provide satisfactory evidence of being fully vaccinated. These travellers will no longer be subject to PCR testing on arrival (day zero) and resultantly no quarantine time will be required.
Partially vaccinated travellers will require a PCR test within 5 days of travel, provide satisfactory evidence of being partially vaccinated, and will be subject to a PCR test or rapid antigen test upon arrival in the Territory (day zero) and quarantined for a period of four days. In light of these decisions, Cabinet further decided that the Gateway administrative fee be reduced from $105.00 to no more than thirty-five dollars ($35) for fully vaccinated travellers.
All other travelers will be required to quarantine for 7 days, however, travelers on vessels will be allowed to navigate around approved moorings provided they remain on their vessel. Travelers staying on land will be allowed to navigate within the confines of their approved property. “Fully vaccinated” indicates you had your final dose of a relevant vaccine at least 2 weeks prior to travel. The total fee for entry for unvaccinated travelers is $175. A group of mixed vaccination travelers (ie. some are fully vaccinated and others are unvaccinated) will be required to quarantine for the full 7 days. See full information here.
Travelers must begin the BVI entry portal process here at least 48 hours before travel, and the gateway must be completed at least 24 hours prior to travel. Travelers are also currently required to have proof of health insurance to cover the individual in the event you fall ill in the territory.
