Owners Comments and Boat History

We purchased Malaya in 2022 and began full-time cruising in 2023. Over the course of 3.5 years and more than 10,000 nautical miles, we sailed throughout the Mediterranean, crossed the Atlantic, and cruised extensively throughout the Caribbean.

The previous owner cared for the vessel for approximately 14 years, during which time she remained primarily in the Mediterranean. Prior to that, she spent several years stored ashore following the passing of her original owner, who had owned the yacht since new in 1990.

We chose the Moody 425 because we wanted a strong, forgiving offshore cruising yacht capable of safely carrying our young family through a wide range of conditions. Her solid construction, spacious deck layout, and large aft cabin provided a comfortable and secure home for both adults and children. We are only selling because our eldest daughter must continue her studies in our home country.

The company offers the details of this vessel in good faith but cannot guarantee or warrant the accuracy of this information nor warrant the condition of the vessel. A buyer should instruct his agents, or his surveyors, to investigate such details as the buyer desires validated. This vessel is offered subject to prior sale, price change or withdrawal without notice.
