1982 Fantasia 35  ‘TRYST’

1982 Fantasia 35 Mk2 hull number 76, ‘TRYST’ is a solid, very capable, proven ocean yacht that has cruised from Alaska to Maine. She is a very livable and economic yacht that has a brilliantly designed interior that feels more like a 40-footer. TRYST has been continuously updated by her owners that have spent the last 7 years cruising the US east coast, Caribbean and Latin America. Seller recently purchased another vessel and is looking for a good home for TRYST. She is currently available in the in the BVI and 100% turn key and ready for an adventure!

Highlights:
This vessel is a double ended long keel with separate skeg attached rudder, sold FRP hull built to design improvements by MacLear & Harris correcting Mk1 long keel balance issues and updated interior accommodation plan. The boat has averaged 5.2 knots over 10?s of thousands of miles. Exceptional tankage: 212 gallon water (no need for water maker) and 115 gallon diesel motoring range greater than 800 nm. She features a solid professionally built hard dodger with commercial workboat safety glass windows. Center cockpit with walk through head/shower to aft stateroom (starboard), full sized standup workroom with built-in toolbox, cabinets and drawers (port), forward cabin v-berth with huge hanging locker and focsle locker and shelves port and starboard, 6?8? of head room in main saloon. Large forward facing navigation table with standard sized pull-out hanging file storage. Plentiful storage throughout the boat as every space is accessible. Solid teak hand rubbed interior; this is a solid quality built ‘stick constructed’ boat. The yard that built her now builds Fleming motor yachts which are known for their quality.

Hull and Deck Structure updates and repairs:
The entire deck was opened, wood core removed and replaced with closed cell foam (2005). The entire hull and deck were finished with Awlcraft 2000 and Awlgrip (2019). The hull bottom was professionally treated for osmosis in 2022: Gel-peel down by 3/16?, dried for 7 months and re-laminated with two layers of 1208 bi-axial cloth and epoxy resin, epoxy-phenolic faired, barrier coated with six (6) coats of West System 422 additive and epoxy, primed with two coats of Intertuf 262 primer and three coats of Interspeed 6400NA commercial bottom paint. All lamination and coats were applied ‘green’ for maximum chemical bond and adherence. The hull bottom is stronger than when built and will provide many years of osmosis free service. The Interspeed 6400 typically gives 3 years of protection in commercial service.
