BVI Yacht Sales Overview

1995 Beneteau Oceanis 440 ‘Moxie’

This fine example of a Beneteau Oceanis 440 Moxie is still actively cruising, and winning races in her class! This 4 cabin version Oceanis 440 offers exceptional comfort aboard coupled with the sparkling performance expected from a hull by Bruce Farr. A great deal of thought has gone into the layout and design both above and below decks to make the yacht easy to handle and comfortable to live aboard. ‘Moxie’ is fully equipped for a comfortable life at sea as she has been continuously loved,  maintained by her  knowledgeable yacht manager and meticulous owner.

This 4 cabin 2 head version layout features good sized sleeping cabins and plenty of living/entertaining space with many opening ports and hatches for good ventilation and lighting. Starting forward, the forepeak has 2 double cabins with intelligently designed built-in cabinets and wardrobes.

Moving aft we have the saloon that makes for a very comfortable interior and provides a large Nav station desk with plenty of storage. The galley is situated along the port side of the saloon and has a commodious fridge and freezer powerful enough to make your own ice!
Good amounts of storage and even built-in draining board to store your dishes as they dry.

Entertaining is made easy with a two-leaf fiberglass cockpit table with built in storage. The cockpit features a helm station and plenty of shade thanks to the custom oversized bimini and built in side shades new 2019!. The helm seat folds down to make a walk through to the sugar scoop transom making for easy access boarding the dinghy or getting in and out of the water on the swim ladder. The push pit has two built-in seats, great for dolphin spotting! The teak in the cockpit and transom area has been replaced with custom synthetic teak which is durable, practical and gives a great overall impression!

Bruce Farr designed the Oceanis 440 for maximum performance with minimal effort. Her bulb keel with winglets, gives optimum lift and stability plus all the benefits of shoal draft. She is equipped with in-mast furling mainsail system and furling genoa with all control lines led aft to the cockpit. This is a perfect example of a fast, extremely comfortable and most importantly, safe cruising boat.
