Owners Comments and Boat History
Orion lost her rig during Hurricane Irma in 2017 as a brand-new vessel in her first season. Dock chafe was the only other damage suffered, consisting of superficial sub-gelcoat lacerations and scraping from flying debris and dockside chafe while at her slip. She has since been professionally filled, faired, and polished by top-level marina trades in St. Maarten.
The boat has seen very little use since her 2021–2023 refit. After she was purchased, the new owner replaced the rig, standing rigging, and spar, and upgraded other items as needed.
Where possible, replacement items were purchased directly from Beneteau's Annapolis warehouse.
Many items were upgraded beyond industry standards, including the electronics, conversion of the original 220V electrical system to 110V, Victron inverter, solar system, additional 12V circuits, radios, additional pumps, oversized bimini, helm cover, cockpit table cover, and liferaft cover.
Everything is functional and works as designed.
Extensive manuals, brochures, and documentation for the installed equipment are organized in 3-ring binders.
The liferaft is out of date and requires inspection and/or replacement.
