Description

Echo is a 1996 Versilcraft 75 Motoryacht currently located at AYH Marina, Red Hook, St. Thomas, USVI. She is UK flagged with Port of Registry London and is offered for sale at $800,000. The vessel is powered by twin MAN D2842 LE406 diesel engines rated at approximately 1,200 HP each, driving Arneson surface drives. Reported engine hours are 1,550, with the starboard display showing lower hours due to replacement of the MAN electronic display in 2024. Cruise speed is reported at 30–32 knots with a maximum speed of approximately 39 knots. Draft is listed at 3 feet with drives raised.


The interior arrangement includes three guest cabins and three ensuite heads, plus a separate crew cabin accessed via an upper deck hatch, also with its own head and shower. The master cabin is forward with a queen berth and double vanity. Port and starboard guest cabins are fitted with twin berths. The main salon includes a dining area and seating, while the upper deck features three helm seats, a U-shaped lounge with table, and additional lounging areas aft and forward.


Between 2023 and 2025 the vessel was kept on the hard in the BVI and underwent a significant refit. Reported work includes new teak decking, repainting of the upper hull to the rub rails, new teak flooring in the salon, updated navigation electronics, new exterior cushions and vinyl, installation of a new 21kW generator, replacement and rebuilding of cooling systems, rebuilding of the Arneson surface drives, overhaul of trim tab and engine-room hatch hydraulic rams, replacement of numerous hydraulic hoses, installation of a new watermaker and ice maker, new battery chargers, and replacement of house, start, generator, and bow thruster batteries.


Electrical systems are 230V / 50Hz AC with 24V DC. Generator inventory includes a 21kW unit with approximately 52 hours and a 9kW unit with approximately 851 hours. Tankage is reported at 4,200 liters of fuel total, 1,300 liters of fresh water, 800 liters grey water, and 400 liters black water. Mechanical systems include automatic and manual bilge pumps, fire suppression via CO₂ system (noted to require update in 2026), bow thruster, and a fuel transfer system between tanks.


Deck equipment includes windlass with helm and foredeck controls, hydraulic swim staircase, manual ladder, passarelle, tender garage, bimini with side curtains, and standard mooring gear. Tender is a 3-meter inflatable with a 4 HP Yamaha outboard purchased in 2019.


Echo was owned by the current owner since 2008, previously based in the South of France, shipped to the USVI in 2018, and is now in private use after prior commercial flagging. The vessel is reported by the owner to be operable by a private owner or with crew and is offered for co-brokerage.

Three Guest Cabins in total; Master queen forward, and port and starboard cabins twins beds, all three cabins have their own head with shower, and vanity. 1 Crew cabin with bunk beds located through hatch in upper deck, with its own head, shower, and vanity. Sleeps 6 guests 2 crew, or 8 guests if private owner. Master cabin has double vanity. There is a dining area in the saloon and also a lounge area, on the upper deck there are 3 large helm seats and also a large u-shaped lounge and table, and an additional chaise lounge. To the stern three large sun pads, and then a large stern seating area on the garage. There is also three large sun pads on the forward deck area.

Owners Comments and Boat History


Vessel is shallow draft just 3 ft with drives up so can get in close, it cruises at 30-32 knots max 39 knots. Has a great hull profile, and still looks modern considering her age, great family boat, can be operated single handed if necessary, can be operated by private owner. But also great for chartering and is a great all round fun boat. It was commercially flagged prior but is now in private.


Owned this vessel since 2008 was based in South of France, shipped to USVi in 2018, after covid was on the hard in BVI from 2023 thru 2025 having major refit. Works included, new teak decking, painting of the upper hull to the rub rails, new teak flooring in the saloon, new electronics, all new cushions/vynil for upper deck area, new large generator, rebuilding the cooling system, rebuilding the arenson drives, and also the rams for the trim tabs, and the rams for the engine room hatch, replacing many hydraulic hoses. A new water maker, a new ice machine, two new battery chargers 2024, new house, start batteries, genset batteries and bow thruster batteries in 2025. In all around $400,000 spent in the 2 years.  Many spare parts on board, also new blower for engine room plus a spare, and new bilge pump, new fire pump.
