Description

This 2020 Lagoon 42, WANDERER, is a 4-cabin / 4-head with twin V-berths in the forepeaks. She has just completed her time in the Sunsail fleet and was professionally phased out with all systems tested and delivered in cruise-ready condition. Due to COVID-related lockdowns during the early part of her charter service, the vessel saw exceptionally light use compared to similar boats of her vintage.

The seller has priced WANDERER aggressively for a quick sale ahead of summer storage costs, making her one of the best-value Lagoon 42s currently on the market.

Well-equipped for comfortable cruising, WANDERER includes:

  • Air Conditioning in all Main Cabins
  • Low Engine Hours (1,750 Hrs)
  • 9kW Northern Lights Generator (6k Hrs.)
  • Full Helm Enclosure
  • B&G Electronics
  • (2) 70W Flexible Solar Panels
  • Watermaker

All listing photos were taken in May 2026. Make sure you check out the 360 virtual tour taken 5/25/26 Additional photos, a LIVE virtual tour, and the phase-out survey are available upon request. This is an outstanding opportunity to purchase a lightly chartered, fully equipped and ready-to-sail Lagoon 42 at an amazing price!

Accommodation

Stepping aboard WANDERER, you’re welcomed into the Lagoon 42’s signature aft cockpit featuring a spacious social area with wraparound seating, a large dining table convertible to a large berth, cockpit fridge, and easy flow into the salon through double sliding doors that fully open to connect the cockpit and interior spaces.

A few steps up brings you to the helm station, positioned for clear visibility underway while still remaining connected to the cockpit and guests below. The full helm enclosure adds protection from the elements with convenient access to the rigging for comfortable cruising in all conditions.

Moving forward along the wide side decks, the foredeck offers additional lounging space with seating ahead of the salon and large trampolines forward.

Inside, the salon feels bright and open with panoramic windows, light oak-colored Alpi-style cabinetry, a dark brown faux-wood cabin sole, galley-up layout, and comfortable seating for 8+ around the L-shaped sofa and bench seating. Plenty of natural light flows through the wraparound windows, while air conditioning and excellent ventilation from large opening ports and sliding doors keep the salon comfortable underway and at anchor.

The galley is fully equipped with galley essentials and more, including a microwave, toaster, and blender for sunset cocktails. In addition to the cockpit fridge, there is a front-opening refrigerator and top-opening deep freezer with ample room for provisions.

Stepping down into the hulls, WANDERER features the popular 4-cabin / 4-head layout, with each main cabin offering its own AC controls, reading lights, storage, and 12V fan. The two aft cabins provide generous island berths with larger ensuite heads and separate shower stalls. The forward cabins feature double berths with a tapering aft end to allow easier inboard access. Ensuite heads and access to the twin forepeak V-berths are also provided, with entry available through the cabin or deck hatch.

With air conditioning throughout, solar panels, watermaker, and a clean modern layout, WANDERER is exceptionally well suited for easy cruising and comfortable living aboard.

Owners Comments and Boat History

WANDERER was delivered new from the Lagoon shipyard in 2020 directly into the Sunsail fleet in Tortola, BVI, where she was maintained to the company’s high fleet standards from day one. Shortly after her arrival, global travel restrictions and lockdowns went into effect, meaning the vessel saw very little use during her early lifecycle. This period of minimal activity helped preserve her interior, woodwork, and mechanical components, leaving her in excellent structural and cosmetic condition. She recently completed an extensive phase-out process overseen by the BVI Yacht Sales representative in collaboration with Anna Orchard of Caribbean Marine Surveyors.

WANDERER has served as the ultimate private sanctuary and getaway for family and friends. From long weeks anchored in pristine bays to unforgettable sailing adventures throughout the British Virgin Islands, she has provided exceptional comfort, safety, and entertaining space aboard.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and associated travel restrictions shortly after her delivery, WANDERER missed the heavy wear and tear often seen aboard similar charter vessels. Carefully maintained by the professional Sunsail team, she remains in excellent condition with surprisingly low operational hours on her primary systems.

Now that her scheduled management term has ended, she is fully primed, professionally maintained, thoroughly vetted, and ready to deliver a true turnkey cruising experience to her next owner. Whether you are searching for a luxurious family cruiser or a capable bluewater sailing platform, WANDERER is exceptionally well equipped and ready to go.

The company offers the details of this vessel in good faith but cannot guarantee or warrant the accuracy of this information nor warrant the condition of the vessel. A buyer should instruct his agents, or his surveyors, to investigate such details as the buyer desires validated. This vessel is offered subject to prior sale, price change or withdrawal without notice.
