Damage/Repair disclosure
There was an issue when the boatyard chaulked up the vessel causing the trailing edge of the keel to depress into the hull. Not breaking into the fiberglass but rather creating a depression aft of the keel. We also found cracking in the tabbing of the grid structure that led us to believe it may be a combination of a weakened grid structure and the unfortunate situation with the yard. Full disclosure and photos available upon request.

The sellers went ahead and hired Hirst Marine Surveyors to inspect the damage. The damage assessment survey is available as well as one from when they purchased the vessel in 2022. The surveyor is under the impression that the core material of the ribs may be jeopardized. We drilled into it and that seemed to be the case.
The owners of the vessel have since hired a professional marine contractor here at Nanny Cay Boatyard to undertake the job. They opened up the ribs and removed any core material that was not solid and filled them with silica and slow curing epoxy to ensure the resin penetrated any voids and guaranteeing its structural integrity. They also applied new tabbing for the ribs to further insure its structural integrity. New gelcoat applied to the areas with new tabbing and even fresh bottom paint. She is looking great and we are very confident she will pass a marine surveyors inspection with no troubles at all. Seller will even guarantee this to a buyer!
